Storyline
A pair of ten-year-olds find an abandoned cop car in a field. When they
take it for a joyride, it seems like they could kill themselves at any
moment. But things only get worse when the small town sheriff goes
looking for his missing car. The kids find themselves in the center of a
deadly game of cat and mouse they don't understand and the only way out
is to go as fast as their cop car can take them.

"Cop Car" (2015) is a very simple story intriguingly told. The premise is kinda absurd, but it is done so well that you will forgive its stupid premise and go along with it. Surely when i was 10 the last idea that came into my mind was to steal a cop car and go for a ride.
Kevin Bacon is superb here, playing a dirty cop who's car become stolen by two ~10 years old kids. He goes for a search, and we get see couple of more characters before the resolution. That is it, there is nothing more in this movie, yet direction, script, cinematography, acting and not traditional approach to the super simple story makes this movie very watchable.
Overall, "Cop Car" is not a traditional thriller. It approaches its very simple story intriguingly, and at the running time 1 h 23 min it barely drags and is worth to see it once.
